Liquid stands as a robust, high-capacity CRM platform tailored for the recruitment industry. Encompassing a wide array of features, it facilitates hiring, timesheet tracking, invoicing, interview scheduling, and pinpointing the best-matched candidates for specific roles and locations. Users can seamlessly manage staff schedules, access call, chat, and email functions, and efficiently collect and store files—all within a unified system. I personally lead a design team of 10 designers on this project, we designed a complex desktop CRM system, 2 separate mobile apps, a desktop web portal, a Webflow marketing site and created the branding, everything from scratch and fully scalable UI kits for all.

Information Architecture (Mind Map)

The first step was to actually understand exactly what functionality we need to design. I ended up having 3 2-hour sessions with the founders, cracking down on how the product will work, what functionality we need to design and separate them into different stages, such as MVP and the following iterations. We did this for every product: web app, 2 mobile apps and web portal. This step is always vital, especially on such big projects. This helps the designers make accurate estimates on timing and cost, as well as helping the clients understand exactly what they want in their products.

Web App (CMS) Design

After getting down all the functionality on paper we started designing the main platform, beginning with branding and a UI kit. The CMS portal is created for the HR department of Liquid who can add and manage clients and candidates. The client can publish a listing, look for an employee, see a lot of details such as rates, proximity, licenses and documents from the candidates and ratings. Candidates can create a profile and look for a job. Payments are done through the portal as well as the entire hiring process and even time tracking on the job. The portal also has a messaging, email and call systems.

Mobile Apps

Then came the design of mobile apps. 2 mobile apps for the 2 types of users, clients & candidates. Clients and candidates can see their schedules, clock in and out, edit their timesheets, receive and send out payments as well as look for jobs or potential employees. This is how everything is tied together, the apps are integrated with the desktop CRM.

Web Portal

This web portal is essentially a web version of the mobile apps for clients and candidates to use on computers.
